Reporting Instructions for Incoming Advance Leadership Course (ALC)/Senior Leadership Course (SLC) Students

Upon arrival to Fort Sam Houston you are to report to Bldg 592 (Army Lodging) located at the corner of Harry Wurzbach and Dickman Rd. Inform the lodging staff that you are reporting for the Advance or Senior Leader Course and to assign you a room in bldg.1384. Report to the AMEDD NCO Academy, Bldg 1397 on the Start Date of your course in the Army Improved Physical Fitness Uniform for in processing (Do not wear Spandex type material). In-processing is between 0750-1000hrs. Soldiers should contact the staff duty for questions and/or concerns at (210) 347-0884.

Reporting Instructions for Incoming Basic Officer Leader Course (BOLC)/Captain Career Course (CCC) Students

Upon arrival to Fort Sam Houston you are to report to Bldg 592 (Army Lodging) located at the corner of Harry Wurzbach and Dickman Rd. Inform the lodging staff that you are reporting for - the Basic Officer Course or the Captain Career Course. Reporting Instructions for Incoming Permanent Party Military Personnel

Welcome to the AMEDDC&S! As a newly assigned Soldier you will become familiar with the AMEDDC&S mission and values. You will also be provided with information, knowledge, and training so that you can quickly become a valued member of our organization.

You will be required to attend mandatory orientation briefings; the AMEDDC&S G-1 will provide further information to you upon your in-processing.

At your Installation in-processing appointment at the Military Personnel Division (MPD) you must ensure you bring all your documents to have your ERB/ORB updated (i.e. DA 638/certificate to update awards, transcripts for civilian education, promotion packet, last evaluation, etc.).

If you are or aspire to be an Instructor, your duty position could require an Associate`s Degree in order to teach at the Medical Education and Training Campus (METC).

 Civilian Personnel
Reporting Instructions for Civilian Personnel

Congratulations on your selection for a position at the US Army Medical Department Center and School (AMEDDC&S).
New to Civil Service or New to Fort Sam Houston As a new employee, please review the in-processing procedures at the Fort Sam Houston Civilian Personnel Advisory Center (CPAC) website: http://www.samhouston.army.mil/cpac/inprocessing.aspxExternal Link.

Once you have completed in-processing at the CPAC, please report directly to the AMEDDC&S G-1/Civilian Human Resources Division.  We are in Aabel Hall (Bldg 2840) Room 319 located at 2250 Stanley Rd.  After that you will report to your supervisor. 

A vital part of in-processing is your attendance at several orientations. The CPAC will schedule you for the installation`s New Employee Orientation (NEO) which is held monthly. You will also be required to attend the AMEDDC&S` On Boarding Program. The G-1 office will schedule your attendance at that session when you in-process. You may also want to attend the Ft Sam Houston Extravaganza on the third Tuesday of the month. And, of course, your office may require your attendance at their orientation session.

New to The AMEDDC&S from Another Activity on Fort Sam Houston As an employee from on-post, please report directly to your supervisor.

Your supervisor will provide you with a sponsor to assist you in locating the G-1 office, your first stop for initial in-processing where you will receive the AMEDDC&S in-processing checklist. We are in Aabel Hall (Bldg 2840), Room 319.

A vital part of in-processing is your attendance at several orientations. You will be required to attend the AMEDDC&S` On Boarding Program. The G-1 office will schedule your attendance at that session when you in-process. And, of course, your office may require your attendance at their orientation session.

Reporting Instructions for Contractors

As a new contract employee, please report directly to your Contracting Officer Representative (COR). They will assist you in locating the G-1 office for initial in-processing where you will receive the AMEDDC&S in-processing checklist. We are in Aabel Hall (Bldg 2840), Room 319.

A vital part of in-processing is your attendance at the AMEDDC&S` On Boarding Program. The G-1 office will schedule your attendance at that session when you in-process. Additionally, your office may require your attendance at their orientation session.
